Megaman.EXE intro quote

Megaman.EXE would be an interesting concept as a DLC character. As CopyBots were created in MMBN6, I figured Mega could use them to fight in UMVC3. Nitsuma said that Megaman just jumps and shoots, well EXE hardly jumps and rarely shoots in competitive Netbattling.

Gameplay[]

Megaman is an well rounded character. Much like Dante, he has many answers to various situations, allowing him to be in the A+ tier. He has access to a power-up super, a cross-system that changes his stance, a baroque-esque move and very good assists.

He does not have any extra mobility options other than his TenguCross form. He does have various moves that will push him around the screen, making it easier for him to control space. He also has access to summon his friends which could double up as an assist. This makes Megaman a very dangerous character.

Whilst he is very strong, he does have low health to match his in-game version which notably has lower health compared to his enemies. He also deals very little damage to compensate for his vast movepool and options. Meaning Megaman will be a very execution heavy character. Despite his vast movepool, Megaman will fail miserably in opening up his opponents as he has a poor mix-up game.

Megaman can perform very well in any position but it is either Point or Anchor that will make Megaman shine.

This gives Megaman a 50% damage boost on the next special move he uses. This disappears if he is hit in this mode. If Full Synchro is activated, it causes a 0.5 second stun. When entering crosses while in this mode, Full Synchro will be cancelled.

  • Special Giga Cannon: Fires a cannon which causes a wall bounce hard knockdown. Fully invincible but costs 1 Meter.
Beast Out Charge Chip

Beast Out: Teleports to his opponents and slashes them twice, second hit is a hard knockdown. Can be used in air while gains and priority.

Counter

Attack hard - Counter Projectiles. Beams are nullified.

  • Megaman uses a CurseShield to defend himself. If hit, the shield will appear in front of the opponent and bite them. This is a projectile itself with 5 durability points.

Throws a black bomb in an arc which hits OTG. When hit with a fire move, it causes a big explosion. Like Dormammu's Big Bang.
Battle Chip

Arcade Stick QCF+Attack button

  • Attack lightFire Hit: A fire fist pops up from the ground and hits the oppone1t. Has low range but causes a crumple. Does not hit OTG.
  • Attack medium Fire Tower: Slams the ground to summon a pillar of fire. Hits OTG and is jump cancellable. Similar to C.Viper's Seismo.
  • Attack hard Red Wave: Summons a small wave made out of lava. Hits OTG, Hard Knockdown.
  • Special Meteors: Summons a rod that summons 18 meteors that homes in on the opponent. The rod has about 250,000 scaled health. Causes a Hard Knockdown on hit and hits OTG. Costs 1 Meter.
Beast Out Charge Chip

Hold Arcade Stick QCF+Attack button during Beast Out Mode

Charging these moves for 1.5 seconds while in Beast Out mode will result:
  • Heat: Blows a fire ball with a large range. Causes a crumple state.
Counter

  • Heat - Megaman will use the HotBody to defend himself. He surrounds himself with a ring of fire. If hit with physical attacks, it causes a crumple state. If hit with projectiles, it will fire back at the opponent with more speed and cause a wall bounce.

  • Special Element Sword: Slices with a wood sword, a fire sword, an aqua sword, and an electric sword. The damage after wood sword will be doubled if hit with the wood sword. Has poor range and no invincibility. Hit stun is long afterwards. Cost 1 Meter.
Beast Out Charge Chip

Hyper Combos[]

Life Sword Arcade Stick QCF+Attack x2 Generates a blade of energy and slams it down on the opponent. Hits OTG and causes a Hard Knockdown Ground Bounce. Similar to Captain Sword
Beast Out (Level 2) Arcade Stick QCB+Attack x2 Powers up Megaman for 5 seconds. Gives him a 15% boost in speed and damage. Once tagged out, he exits this mode. He does not build meter in this mode. He can also double jump, fly, gain an air dash and gain Super Armor. For TenguCross, he gains extra jump and an airdash.
Beast Over Arcade Stick QCB+Attack x2 with no bar If used when Megaman less than 2 meters, he will go beserk with the Cybeast power for 10 seconds. Gives him 25% boost in damage and speed and will cause him to randomly do moves. He also cannot enter hitstun when in this form. He has access to infinite meter as well but cannot use his level 3. 

When finished, he cannot enter Full Synchro mode, enter Beast Out Mode again nor access any Cross. He will deplete his health gradually much like Dark Phoenix. He can avoid the health depletion via X-Factor

2x Hero (Level 3) Arcade Stick S+Attack x2 Shoots a energy blast that has high durability. If it hits, he calls his friend Protoman which together they damage the enemy via blasts and sonic booms. This deals 440,000 unscaled damage.
