Shadow Blade!
Morrigan
Shadow Blade is one of Morrigan's special moves. The animation of this move has Morrigan leaping upwards with one of her shape-shifting wings wrapped around her arm in the general form of a blade, moving horizontally a short distance in the process. The light, medium, and hard versions of this move determine the amount of hits as well as how far horizontally Morrigan moves.
In Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Shadow Blade has numerous specialized uses which include being her primary hit confirm into two (Finishing Shower and Darkness Illusion) of her four hyper combos and the H version being a great combo ender for those looking to build meter for later combos or other purposes.
Like Morrigan's other special moves, Shadow Blade can be flight cancelled, allowing the player to stop the move at any time or simply cut the recovery period which can be quite long as it doesn't recover until Morrigan touches the ground, this however is dangerouse in UMvC3 because air dashing is unblockable . Unfortunately using Shadow Blade while in flight mode will cancel Flight mode, meaning Morrigan can only flight cancel a Shadow Blade by activating flight mode.

Shining Blade[]
Lilith's version of this move in Marvel vs. Capcom 1 is the Shining Blade, and acts just like the original.
