Asgard

Asgard

All legends have a beginning, and for many heroes this is it.

Asgard is one of the Marvel stage in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The stage is set on Marvel's version of Asgard, the home of Thor and many other gods and mythical creatures.

The stage is set on a marble street overlooking several Asgardian structures. Both ends of the stage have a large ancient castle, while the left side features a patch of pink flowers with a pegasus standing on it peacefully and the right side features a small water fountain. In the background one can spot the Bifrost, the rainbow bridge connecting Asgard with all the other realms, reaching into a number of golden Asgardian buildings scattered on the distance, floating over a chasm. Further away in the background stands the massive Yggdrasil, the world tree.

Several Viking-like ships can be seen flying on the skies, with one eventually approaching the battle area and flying past it. After the ship passes by, a large phoenix comes from below the chasm and flies around, then back to the center of the screen, where he stands as he screeches at the screen.

Asgard: Sea of Space[]

Asgard Sea of Stars

Asgard: Sea of Space

Asgard: Sea of Space is the stage's alternate version introduced in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The stage is basically a nighttime version of the original, with the buildings on the background glowing. The Viking ships and the phoenix are also removed and there's now a starry sky.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite[]

Asgard makes a return in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as the first stage revealed for the game. It is part of a merged stage known as "Xgard", created following Ultron-Sigma's siege and fusing of the Capcom and Marvel universes. The stage is a combination of Asgard with Abel City, a location featured in the Mega Man X series.
