Hand Hideout

Hand Hideout

A taste of the far East for those who wish to focus themselves.

Hand Hideout is one of the Marvel stages in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The stage is set in a hideout from The Hand, an ancient group on ninjas.

The stage is located on a snowy valley, between two tall rock cliffs with several rocks sporting shimenawas. In the center of the stage stand many Buddhist statues and a single, large four-armed bronze statue of an Asura being worshipped by several Hand ninjas. The right side of the stage features a small temple with an old-looking bell, which sounds whenever an Hyper Combo connects and at times breaks and falls to the ground. The left side of the stage features a tall, three-floor pagoda illuminated by several paper lamps. There's a painting within the ground floor displaying Akuma and Ryu fighting, and several Hand ninjas can be seen moving around its interior or on top of it. The background features a staircase with many Japanese gates or "Torii" leading into an even taller pagoda.

While fighting on this stage, characters will produce moisture from breathing due to the cold.

Shadowland

Shadowland is the stage's alternate version introduced in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This variation is based on the Marvel event of same name, where Daredevil is possessed by a demon and becomes the leader of the Hand.

The stage is now set on a city (Hell's Kitchen) at night. Daredevil sits on a raised throne at the center of the stage, with several skulls scattered at his feet. He watches the fight together with two lines of Hand ninja standing at his right and left. Behind him stands the Asura statue from the original stage, and behind it a massive pagoda reaching into the sky. Some Hand ninja can be seen holding their group's flags, and a number of Torii are arranged at the right side of the background.
